A space for the unseen and unheard to breathe
Therapy for adults navigating relational patterns, identity questions, and emotional challenges.
About Me
Hi, I’m Marilyn — a therapist working with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of something that’s difficult to hold alone.
I support people navigating emotional challenges, relational patterns, and life transitions, often when things feel difficult to hold or make sense of alone. Many of my clients come from a range of family and cultural backgrounds, and I aim to offer a space where you can explore your experience without judgement, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I’m particularly mindful of how difficult it can be when your experience hasn’t been fully heard or understood — especially at times when you needed support the most.
I take a thoughtful and attentive approach to my work, and I’m interested in understanding your experience in a way that feels meaningful to you.
My approach is relational and integrative, with a strong psychodynamic foundation. This means we may gently explore how earlier relationships and experiences are shaping your present, while working at a pace that feels steady and manageable.
I’m also aware that for some people, aspects of identity such as culture, race, or belonging can be an important part of their experience, and I aim to hold space for this with care and sensitivity.
My work is grounded in professional boundaries and clinical practice, and underpinned by compassion, dignity, and respect.
I have experience working in a range of settings, including supporting adults living with personality disorders, survivors of domestic abuse, and individuals seeking pastoral support within community environments.
I am an Accredited Registrant (MNCPS Acc.) with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). I hold professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS check.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
If you’re considering reaching out, you’re very welcome to get in touch — I’d be glad to hear from you.
